WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS 

The sympathy of the congregation is extended to the family of David Lane at the death of Margaret Lane, who died on Tuesday, October 22. 

Today we extend a warm welcome to Dr. Robert Lowdermilk. Dr. Lowdermilk is Vice President for Student Development at Rockingham Community College, a native of Greensboro, and an ordained United Methodist clergy person. 

Luke 3:11 And He would answer and say to them, “The man who has two tunics is to share with him who has none; and he who has food is to do likewise.”

SKI TRIP planning meeting will be held today at 7:00 p.m. at Bob Mullings’ home. Any of our church members, both youth and adults, interested in going on a ski trip this season are asked to attend.

SERMON 101 will meet next Wednesday, October 30 at 10:00 a.m. in the Session room. Come and discuss the lectionary readings for the following Sunday.

CAREGIVERS & CAREGIVER RESOURCE COMMITTEE  will meet at 6:00 p.m. on October 30 in the Fellowship Hall.

THE CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER  will be hosting a “Trunk or Treat” on Thursday, October 31 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  in the church parking lot. If you would like to participate by opening your trunk and giving candy to the little ghosts and goblins please join us.  If you have any questions contact Debbie Robbins.

PENNIES FOR HUNGER offering will be received November 3.

WORSHIP COMMITTEE will meet November 6 at 6:15 p.m.

SESSION will meet November 7 at 7:00  p.m.

CELEBRATE WITH BOOKS:  Help us provide books in our church library for our youth and children.  Give a donation to our library in honor of your friend’s or relative’s birthday, anniversary or other special occasion.  A book or books suitable for our youth will be placed in the library honoring your relative or friend.  Contact Dana or Anne Dell for more information.

HYMNBOOKS: We have orders for 102 hymnbooks now! Please help us finish this campaign before December 1. A total of 230 hymnbooks is needed. Thanks! Your Worship Committee
