PARKING LOT SIGNAGE:  Noticing some additional signs? These signs should not have an impact on our Sunday use, but they are being added to address some mid week safety and traffic flow concerns. We want to ensure the safe use of our parking area for all congregational, Child Development Center, and AA group gatherings.

Next Sunday, November 12, we’ll honor Reidsville Outreach and celebrate our commitments at the Thanksgiving Lunch.

You’ll find 2 commitment cards in the mailing sent last week:

  • One, a financial pledge for 2018 should be returned using the self-addressed, stamped envelope directly to Marie Martin, our congregation’s accountant.
  • The other, a “Living Out God’s Story”  pledge, offers a variety of ways that you might take a hands-on part in our ministry together in 2018.  We invite you to turn  these in during worship on the 12th if you are able!

Congregational nursing or Parrish nursing, as some call it, is a way for a health professional in the congregation to minister to the needs of the members of the congregation.

Nancy Crutchfield has served us in this capacity for 4 years and has decided to step down from this role.  Nancy will continue to bring her knowledge from this nursing role to her role as the Elder assigned to our congregation’s Caregivers.

Stokes Ann Hunt will be stepping into the Congregational Nurse role for our congregation as Nancy passes the baton.  She is honored to be part of this program as she assisted with the 1st Kate B. Reynolds grant in 2012 to bring this program to Rockingham County.

Congregational Nurses seek to:

  • Be a personal health counselor to discuss health concerns
  • Provide health screenings
  • Be a community resource and guide to our complicated health system

However, a Congregational Nurse is not:

  • A skilled nurse on-call who is available to everyone’s medical needs
