THE SYMPATHY of the congregation is extended to Charlie and Terry McCollum at the death of his sister, Susan Tingen who died in Fayetteville, NC Monday, January 22.

PASTOR CHRISTY is away this week for the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators national conference in Louisville, KY. She is happy to be reached during this time away if there is a need, although you might want to allow a bit of extra time to receive a response.  The Rev. Bob Peterson will be providing our Pulpit Supply on Sunday, February 4.

ELDER ON CALL: Each week an Elder will be available for congregational needs. This week that Elder is Kate Harrell.

CHILI & CHOCOLATE FELLOWSHIP LUNCH:  Join us February 11 following morning worship. *Are you making a Chili dish?  We have 1 lb. packs of ground beef here at the church for you to use in preparing your favorite Chili.*  Call Charlie Adams or the church office to take us up on this offer! JANUARY IS NATIONAL AWARENESS MONTH for Cervical Health, Glaucoma, Stalking, Thyroid, and Winter Sports Traumatic Brain Injury; Birth Defects Prevention Month, Radon Action Month, and Alcohol Facts Week (last week of January).

Chili and Chocolate Fellowship Lunch Sunday, February 11th, after Worship Be sure to pick up a Lenten Devotional –  2 options will be available for pick up.

Ash Wednesday Imposition of Ashes & Communion:  Wednesday, February 14 @ 7pm

Lenten Book Study:  Thursdays @ 6pm, February 15 – March 22. Join poet Nora Gallagher as she explores “The Sacred Meal” in our study volume from The Ancient Practices Series during this season of communing with Jesus in his journey toward Jerusalem. Nora offers insight on how the church’s meal, and perhaps all meals, can offer us an invitation to the collision of ordinary and divine all around us. The book can be ordered through the Church Office for $8, please request a copy by Friday, February 9.
